West Fargo Everyday checking is the bank account with the most customers in Fargo. It has a monthly cost of 10 dollars unless you meet one of the following requirements:
- $500 minimum daily balance
- $500 or more in total qualifying direct deposits
- The primary account owner is 17-24 years old
- A linked Wells Fargo Campus ATM Card or Campus Debit Card (for college students)
There is no minimum deposit required to open the account, but it is necessary to deposit 25 dollars at the opening. This account also has a bank overdraft service. The only requirement you need to open the account is to be over 18 years of age.
Clear Access Banking
Clear Access Banking has a monthly commission of 5 dollars and the only way to avoid paying this commission is for the holder to be between 13 and 24 years old. It does not require a minimum deposit although to open it you will have to deposit 25 dollars.
It does not have a bank overdraft service but if that were the case, you will have to replace the money immediately. To open this bank account you must be 13 years or older (teens 13 – 16 years old need an adult co-owner).
Prime Checking
This account has a commission of $25 per month that can only be avoided if you meet one of the following two requirements:
- Have more than 20,000 in Wells Fargo checking accounts.
- Have more than $250,000 in all Fargo checking accounts, savings accounts, and bank deposits.
There is no minimum deposit but when opening the account you need to deposit at least 25 dollars. To open this account you must be over 18 years old. You also have overdraft service.
The main benefits of this account are that it offers interest on the money you have deposited, you can get rid of the commissions of non-fargo ATMs, you have a discount on interest on loans and no commissions for incoming bank transfers.
Premier Checking
This account has a commission of $35 per month unless you have in the sum of all bank accounts linked to Wells Fargo more than $250,000. There is no minimum deposit but to open the account you need to deposit at least 25 dollars. It has a bank overdraft service and to open the account you must be over 18 years old.
The benefits of Premier Checking are the interest rates it offers, no fees on incoming and outgoing transfers, no fee withdrawals at non-Wells Fargo ATMs, and benefits on bank checks.
